Yoga for grief & Loss by Nassima

In this specialized yoga classes, you will practice different yoga shapes, movements and breathing techniques that will help you become more aware of both your mind and body and the intimate connection between the two of them.
It is a slow-paced yoga session that helps you connect to yourself, identify tension and perhaps release it in a safe and non-judgmental space.
The session ends with a restorative pose and a short-guided relaxation.
After the class, you will feel energized, lighter and grounded.
What is grief?
Grief is a normal process that follows any kind of loss, not necessarily a death.
We might grieve because we lost our job, a friendship, we grieve after a breakup or a divorce, retirement, loss of health, death of a pet, we lost something precious to us … Even subtle losses in life can trigger a sense of grief. We might grieve after moving away from home, or grieve because your kids left home…
There are ways to help cope with the pain, come to terms with your grief, and eventually, find a way to pick up the pieces and move on with your life.
How can yoga help?
Grief affects us physically, mentally, cognitively, emotionally and spiritually.
Yoga support us in being with and moving through acute long term effects of grief in each of these areas creating space for new growth. We experience the effects of each pose in the physical body, the energy and mental bodies, intellectually, emotionally and on deep levels of intuition and beyond.
The mindfulness of movement combined with the breath teaches us to be present and to accept where we are right now. It teaches us to adjust, adapt and accommodate to maintain our comfortable posture, not only on the yoga mat, but in our daily lives as well.
